winter glimpse

WE had some things to do in Cluj, so we just had a tiny and fast trip to this city that I love...I probably tell you that all the time! :))) The, oh, so well known pit stop at Starbucks, to have a piece of their cheesecake and  a mild spiced coffee. It was snowing like crazy outside, so this was the perfect escape for a stress free zone moment. :) I enjoyed that! :)

bizz and leisure

This was probably the best lemonade I've ever had in my life. Before another performance of the acting kids I told you yesterday, Mate, me and Silviu spent some time at Via Restaurant, where we had time to drink a fresh lemonade. Mint, lemon, bazil...madness! Loved it!

no need to tell you how much I love Cluj...here's a glimpse of it :)

If I'm in Cluj, I won't miss a walk at the Polus mall, browse the stores, have a snack and get updated with the latest movies. :)

In the evening we went to see the second performance of the kids; a Commedia dell'Arte show.  It was nice to remember the times we used to work with commedia masks. It was a sort of acting faculty revival :))

Spring in Cluj

It's always a joy when I have to go to my fave city in all this country...Cluj! :) And spring just made it better! But if you know me or have been reading my blog lately, you already know this stuff :). It was just super nice to eat lunch at our fave place...then stopped for a nice frappe at Starbucks, then just lay back in the centre of the city, in the Matei Corvin Square. Sunny weather with my man aside...perfect.

Decided to rock some color blocking pieces that just popped the outfit...just let summer come! :)

In teh evening we met some friends and went to a place called Samsara...just the fact that we had to leave our shoes at the door and sit on pillows sounded terrific...after drinking a cocktail and some tea...we were deeply relaxed...it was quite hard to stand up when it was time to leave. Nice place!

sun and snow

Had to spend some time outside, feel the fresh, crispy air and step on the first snow of 2010... the centre of Cluj is a beautiful place to spend time, meet friends, read a book or just kiss your sweetheart. Not to mention it is called the Treasure City of Trasilvania. The city is one of the most important academic, cultural, industrial and business centres in Romania. Among other institutions, it hosts the country's largest university, Babeş-Bolyai University(where I finished my acting studies and master), with its famous botanical garden and nationally renowned cultural institutions.There are many good things to tell about this city...You can find more info here. Here I am in Cluj for the next days...I came to help a friend shooting a movie, but I'll try to enjoy the city as much as I can too...cause, after all, Cluj is the one and only city I love in Romania.

Mate's 25 B-Day!

Sooner or later I had to forget the feeling of doing nothing at all ...because the big final master exam, the diquisition how it's called, it's almost here. On the 24th of june, 50 pages of acting study should be written, all printed, ready to be presented in front of the Theatre/TV Faculty committe in Cluj... ahmm...yeah...Till then, I still had to deal with a lot more pleasant things...like Mate 25th B-Day. Since he didn't had planned anything to celebrate it, thinking only to focus entirely on the master exam, I tried to org. smth on the last minute...talked to all the friends I could gather in Cluj, ordered with a friend's help a big chocolate cake, and tried to surprise Mate by taking him to Enigma Cafe, thinking we'll be stayin' just for a quick drink...

Considering the fact everything was instant improvisation, it was a fun evening and Mate really enjoyed it! ...the cake was delicious too... But I know how much friends mean to Mate...and along with a toy present (that I got for him and he worships...) made a memorable birthday celebration. Thank you guys for coming!

having fun :)

Since I've last been in Cluj, some changes were made...for example, the Matei Corvin Square was updated with these wonderful "water falls". We had so much fun photographing us through them and they looked absolutely fantastic by night, lighted each with a different color :)

It's like a blue lava coming out of the ground :)
