Starry Night

Here are more photos that I took during the performance of Hikaru Otsubo, called "Starry Night". This amazing butoh dance artist has been invited at the Atelier festival for several years and it's a pleasure to see him again in Baia Mare. A couple of years ago we even made a workshop of butoh dance with him, that I really enjoyed! So after helping him by translating to our romanian crew the way he wanted his lights, I was anxious to see the show, to see if everything goes as planned. The show went ok and he was satisfied by the lights (as well as him mom, that comes every year with him). The pics are beautiful but they are nothing like seeing Hikaru on stage... Hope you'll enjoy them anyway! :)

Trying the play as much as I can these days... with the color blocking effect,  with high heels, with nail polishes, with ping pong balls, with words, with people...wink wink... :)) I love this outfit. It's all I can say. :) Love the Zara Top, the Bershka belt, TerraNova pants and teh Stradivarius pumps. 

Theatre plays~then after luch we hit the Gold Plaza games room~ seen the Japanese performance; they needed a bit of help with the translation, I spent more than an hour playing with words :) ~ spending time with dear people...and that's quite it!

closing ceremony

It was a week full of really good theatre plays...but I can't help saying "Why do all good things come to an end...?" ...and they do after all...but it's important to remember the feeling you get when you meet this sort of things. I try to do that all the time.

So the pics are right before the Atelier Festival closed. I was really happy for Mate who won a prize :* Then after the ceremony ended, we all went to a restaurant and had a great time and talked about the plays we've seen during a week of festival.

Detail is everything

This is a play that we've heard a lot about...I got to see with my own eyes a wonderful detailed set and some good pieces of acting. "Herr Paul" is a must see play if you get to Romania these days. Even if you don't understand romanian, you'll get the plot out of the acting and that makes it an universal play. Don't have to mention that 2 of the actors are college mates... Proud!

Just beeing happy to attend another day of the theatre festival going on in Baia Mare, happy to feel the sun rays on my skin, happy to meet new performers that came from England with Etta. You'll see in the next posts whom am I talking about.. Summer is here!!!!!!!!

The Atelier started...

Every time june comes, at least for the last couple of years, I can't wait for The Atelier Int. Theatre Festival to start. It's a fabulous opportunity to see a lot of good and famous theatre plays from all over the world. This time we get to see England, Hungary, Japan, and lots of romanian plays perform on our Baia Mate Theatre stage. This is what I call a theatre overdose...Drug me please!
