About Face by Scott Barnes

I've being eyeing this book for some time now and my bf got it for me as a gift. You should know that I love everything about makeup, and out of all the famous and beautiful women out there, I really like JLo's flawless makeup. I know that Scott Barnes is "responsible" of her makeup, so I was really interested in this book. I must say he has a different way of doing applying products, but I wasn't totally unaware of it, because it does remind me of stage make up, which I love doing. The transformations he does on these women he has in the book are indeed wonderful and one surely has a lot to learn out of "About Face".
It's, without doubt, a must-buy!

duty free beauties that somehow got stuck to me...

This is just a preview of some beauty products I took while waiting in Muchen for the flight back to Romania asfter the wonderful Christams spent in Norway. Do I need to mention this is my first MAC product ever...?...quite annoying the fact that the closest MAC store is like freaking 550 km away from the annoying city I work in...yeah... sad. When I saw the MAC counter it was a bit too late...I already had spent my money on Chanel and Guerlain products. A lipstick was all that I could grab... :(   next time though...I'll go prepared! Stay tune for the next post with all the pics of these goodies naked! :)

show time

I like playing with colours...and the theatre pictures of my characters ar perfect to do that. It's fun to see how you would have looked in a past era. Check out the pics below...I'd probably never dye my hair blonde...in fact, I'm against dying my hair at all. I'm trying to keep it as natural and as healthy I can. A wig will do on stage or on Holloween. :)

Foxy Lady

More pictures from theatre shows...cause, to be honest, theatre represents more than 50 % of my life. This is the Foxy that I'm playing in a theatre show called "Once upon a time in...America". I have a lot of fun during this performance. It's mostly made for kids, but any adult will enjoy it also. Not to mention we have cute outfits and funny face paintings. I love to do (as you already might know) my own make up, so this is just another great way to paint. Enjoy the pics, see ya soon!
:) See you @theatre!

dior & clarins punch

For several years, I've been a make up junkie ... I used to collect a lot of make up products, even though I was using only o few of them on a regular basis. So it was time to change smth. Mainly because I learned more stuff about make up lately. The most important thing being: make up expires! It's no use to buy a ton of products and not be able to use them as often as you'd like to. It's a waste of money. So I made a deal with myself some time ago...buy only the products I need and will use and they have to be only the best quality on the market. You know the principle "Quality over quantity"? Well, I'm guiding myself after it. Primarily when it comes to make up. OK now...so...step by step...I met Lancome, Estee Lauder, Clarins, Collistar, L'Occitane.
Now it was time to meet Dior and to deepen my relationship with Clarins. :) I already made a habit of buying good make up fom duty frees. For the last years, I got out of the country at least once a year. Then it's action time. I browse all the stands of beauty products, and depending on what I need and what I crave, I make the moves. This time the Ataturk Airport Duty Free in Istanbul was the spot. I needed a bronzer, so the the Dior Summer Make Up Palette was the best choice! Plus I'll try some lip and eye colors too...that was, if I remember well...43€ (about $60). I believe it was a good deal.
And then I fell in love with these Clarins lip glosses. I'm telling you, during summer time, a gloss is the perfect choice for your lips. I avoid using lipsticks because I ruined some when carrying them with me in the heat . The Clarins ones are lightly colored in pink and nude, taste and smell amazing. I'm very happy with them.
