when life steps in...

Today was supossed to be the day the holidays were officialy over for me. We were meant to go home in Baia and start the theatre work. All packed up, we waved good bye my family and got going. These were the best winter holidays in the last years.
...but not so fast...when we were about 250 km away from Baia, Mate's car broke. So bad that we had to get it into an auto service in Sighisoara, the closest city from where the car refused to ride anymore :(

We tried to let it go (we were both quite sad and tentioned) and enjoy another day of extended vacation in Sighisoara. Since the car was going to be ready to go only the second day, that evening we've took a walk into the old fortress of this beautiful town. We had some hot drinks and a desert at "Casa Cerbului" Restaurant and we called it a night.

These traditional donuts with blueberry jam and cream made my day...

take a walk with me

Saved the day to go shopping and sightseeing in Brasov, not before taking some pics with Bufi :) I'm gonna miss her so much when being back in Baia...

It was a lovely day, not crowded, not freezing, with a lot of sales...and a huge beautiful Christmas Tree right in the center of Sfatului Square. It was that silence after the holidays that relaxes every part of your body. Just trying to preserve that good energy for the time I get back to work... See ya!

Welcome 2011!!!!

This is going to be the post that has the biggest number of pics ever!! Well, it's New Year's Eve. It's supposed to be like this !!!!! It's the end of one hard year...that brought good things and sad things all together. It's time to celebrate the end of it and the beginning of a new year, 2011. I have so many things in mind for this year. But never mind those. Let's talk about this night. It was the first time I spent the New Year's party in a club; and since I was back home at my parents and my sister's...Club Cinema was perfect...not mentioning we're quite like home there. My sis's bf works there...yeah...

We were a small group of 8 people, but that was more than enough... So here are (a lot of) pics from the party night.

Browsing the Sephora shops this month...as soon as I put my eyes on this yellow nail polish, I knew I wanted to rock that the 2010->2011 night, no matter what I was going to wear.
And so I did:
An hour or two after midnight, I had to change those high heels, if I wanted to party till morning. So I said adios to the black dress and slipped in some more party animal like clothes.

having fun with my sis :)

Hope you had a wonderful time celebrating the New Year with people you love, I think that's the most important thing!
So, HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYBODY!!!
LET'S ROCK THIS 2011 YEAR!!!

Absolutely Ladylike

One of the biggest joys that Christmas brings along every year...for me at least, is decorating the tree. Last year I got to do 3 Christmas trees. That was unique :))
I remember when I was little I used to have my favorite globe/ball to cling to the tree. It was a golden one, with a tree branch, holding a lighted candle. It was old...probably that's why I used to love it so much. It had all the things that meant Christmas for me...the golden atmosphere, the king of trees, and the warm light that every Christmas holiday brings along both on our faces and souls. Christmas is, by far, my favorite holiday... I love it more than my own B-day.
It's the perfect HOLIDAY.
After decorating the tree and doing some more additional holiday work, we've decided it was time to relax and get in he mood for Christmas deeper... We went to Iulius Mall, @Parisienne and indulged ourselves with a well-deserved cocktail.

I had a hard time ~ :)) ~ choosing out of 2 cocktails -Cosmopolitan or Daquiri...I guess you can see which one won.

Can't get enough of this Vero Moda starry cardigan...it's just so perfect for the holiday season and so ladylike. With a white undershirt, a silk scarf, black stretch pants and knee high boots -
I managed to pull of a comfy, relaxed (yet feminine) outfit.

Not to mention that Mate played the piano...It was a perfect evening out with people I love. Cause that is Christmas all about...sharing love and good time.

Hope you do enjoy this holiday as much as I do!!
...Santa is on his way.... :)

"An actor is a sculptor who carves in snow" Lawrence Barrett

I started my winter holiday, by leaving Baia Mare. The best thing I could do this month! :D
Christmas in Bucovina was a pleasant idea to make it reality...so we've decided! From Mate's home in Suceava, we started at 9 o'clock in the morning our trip to Borsa, a ski resort for a snowboarding weekend, that turned out to be really cute.
These pics were taken on a break through the breathtaking Prislop Pass on our way to Borsa. It was freezing, but for that view, it didn't matter anymore...So you can see for yourselves!
After the snowboarding, we went in the Borsa town to have dinner, then hit a supermarket to fill our sweets necessary, and then back to the cabin for a hell of good time at the sauna... I can't tell you how welcomed that thing was...A refreshing shower and then -> to bed. The cabin was all made of wood with old ad posters and tiny rooms...and the blackout that we had for more than an hour and the candle light, made it feel like a vintage adventure! The only thing that annoyed me..was a man in the next room to ours that snored all night. Lucky enough I had my ipod with me and it helped me endure this experience easier...Man, I hate when someone snores.
Well, I have to say, both me and Mate hit the wall (that the rooms shared) several times, hoping it will make him stop. It did...for a few seconds, then he was back on track! :O :O

All in all, it was a nice experience, plus I met new friends :) as seen down below :)

Look at those amazing trees loaded with snow!
A true delight to share the same sun light with them!

This is Labus, the guardian of "Ursu Cabin" :) Lovely puppy!

Hope you're enjoying your weekend too, wherever you might be!
