vintage botanical feast

These old plant plates remind me of my childhood  and the herbarium that I used to love so much when in high school botany classes. I also loved to draw a lot of plants, mushrooms... Especially the poisonous ones, because they were a lot more colorful and not at all boring as the edible ones. And then, each one of these flowers and plants, have an unique place in my visual and olfactory memory. Plus, they are all just beautiful!
Here is the source where I found this pictures.
Have a good night everyone!
Love, Gab~

Childhood habits...

We got home last night late enough...after a 12 hour trip back from Braila, we were exhausted! All my body hurts...and all this 3 day trip to this theatre festival left me energy drained...
Now it's time to recover. It's sunday, and even if I was off from the theatre work, still had to do some things that related to it...
But anyhow...I started my day with the kind of breakfast that I love the most... Leibniz biscuits with butter, dipped in hot chocolate milk (by the way, I'm a milk addict)...
That really makes my day!...and I have a thing for dipping sweet things in milk or tea...it's a childhood habit that I still love...and yes, I do spoil myself with it anytime I've got a chance! :) I'll do it as long as I live, for sure! :))
Hope you enjoyed your weekend! See you soon!
Gabriela

P.S. Hope I have sparked your desire to drink a cup of hot milk! :))

Childhood memories

I love to visit my grandparents, back to the village where me, my sis, my bro and lots of cousins used to spend many of our summers... I'll never forget those times :)) A lot of joy and laughts come into my mind eachtime I remember those years...But now they seam so far away...
So, for that reason, I like to see each corner of their farm, each animal they raise, the crops, everything that mooves...Everything has a bit of ancient magic in it. All this refills me with loads of good energy!
This time I tied a strong friendship with a young and new cohabitant of my summer childhood realms. Ohh...I had a great time playing with this cute puppy!! :)
A real unleashed beast!!!

the 2 a.m. memory snack

I can't sleep...

So I grabbed myself a glass of cold fresh milk and a big red apple and mumbling like a rabbit I started to update my twitter profile a bit...while remembering...When I was little, I used to wake up at 5 p.m., opened my room's window and for about 15 minutes I listened the trill of a bird. I don't know what kid of bird it was, but it used to sing only in the summer time. I remember the quietude and the serenity at that hour. People were still sleeping , so the only thing that was resounding all over the block, was this little ( I imagined...) bird's trill. After 15 minutes, the concert was over, and I was back in my bed, falling asleep again with a smile upon my face...

old beautiful childhood moments...

( maybe I'll try to do that again...I'm not at Home, but maybe I'll find a 5 a.m. singing bird here too..who knows...)
