Old Glory Cherry Pie
Just look at it! I mean the pie!! Since last year, our cherry tree from our garden didn't make any fruits, well, this year it was over saturated with cherries. This was the perfect timing to try my very first pie, an american cherry pie! :D I found the recipe on the net again...it's my best cooking guide (but I also have a lot of cooking books). But when I searched for the looks of it, well when I first saw this Old Glory Cherry Pie ...I fell in love. I knew my pie was going to look like that!
I worked 3 hours to get it wright from scratch...and I'm not kiddin'... But it was worth every minute spent on decorating it! It was delicious! See for yourselves!
The left overs of the blue and red dough asked to be played with..so we did... The ones on the right are Mate's masterpiece.. :D :D :DAfter I took it out from the oven...
Happy to see it beautifully done!

banana muffins
Since I first did the Banana Bread Muffins, I wanted to try a lighter version, so I did the simple Banana Muffins. I found the recipe on the net, so it's not big deal; the mini rainbow candies on top of them was my idea though :) They tasted as good as they look. Bon appetit! :D

camping attempt
We woke up around 11 o'clock...then the phone rang...It was my mom, asking us if we would like to join her and dad at a potato stew nature cooked ...I said "Hell, yeah!" It's just one of those things that you love and recall from your childhood memories...and you can'st say NO to these ones. So we went after Roxi (ma sis) and Doll (za dog) and off we went to have lunch. Everything was perfect. By the time we got there, mom finished cooking...so the food was waiting for us...The stew, completed with a salad...was unbelievable delicious! And I'm not exaggerating just because my mom made it...it was really good! Take a look!
Strawberries as desert :)
...and a bit of show from the notorious clowns of the family :)))
My parents were prepared to camp there over night...but in the end they changed their minds... anyways..great afternoon!
Hope you're having a great time! Love, Gab~

pizza and motocycles
Went to buy things to make a pizza...and we couldn't miss the Motocycles Expo at the mall... :) Nice babies, what do you think? My man is crazy about motocycles, he wants to get one this year...and I have to confess I have a motocycle driving licence... and starting to fall in love with choppers. Hmmm...
About pizza...well all the respect for the ones they cook in restaurants( I used to make pizza when working in the States some years ago...), but when it comes to cooking pizza at home from scratch, well that's another story. It's totally different ...You can do the dough with whatever ingredients you like, and on top of it you can put as much goodies as you like. This one has peppers, corn, mozzarella, tomatoes, onions, chicken , green olives -don't like the black ones- , mushrums... :)) Hope you'll enjoy the pics, have a wonderful day!

Cinnamon Apple Muffins
It was the first time I tried to bake muffins...and since I just tried to find a recipe browsing the internet knowing what I have already at home, I said a Cinnamon Apple recipe will do just fine. I wanted to post the source of the recipe, but I just could not find it anymore...if anyone wants to try it, I'll write it down for you(I did some notes); it's easy, with simple ingredients. Tell me what do you think! Only one out of the 12 muffins made it through the next day... :))))) We're like velociraptors when it comes to sweets...can't help it...
They had a perfect flavour...besides, I love cinnamon - daa...:))-
Just look how the apple pieces show off inside the muffin!! Delicious!
Hope you enjoyed the post,

domestic goddess
Hello, everyone!
Free time+bad weather+one hungry lover= me -> cooking...and not just cooking. Trying new recipes! Yes, Sir! I have to tell you, today I did my very first rooasted garllic head...don't laught! This thing is just not trending in this country...(don't ask which coutry! The No-Country! :)) I needed the roasted garlic to bake a Focaccia. First timer too! And then, the main course was Pork Stroganoff with Basmati Rice. I get bored so fast of old/traditional recipes...I have to try smth new. Plus (as I already said several times in this blog), cooking it's like relaxing therapy to me.

Because cooking is an art too
After 45 min spent in a tropical climate, these babes were screaming "Eat me!!"
This is a Grape and Plum Fluffy Tart...recipe found in this lovely Desserts Book. With plenty of sugar on it and fresh cream, this tart topped the day!
Hope you had a wonderful day!

Panna Cotta
I wanted to make this sweet for a couple of months now, and since yesterday was special, I thought that Panna Cotta would be a perfect way to celebrate both Woman's Day and 1 year since my bf quit smoking. I found the recipe on this blog ( it's in romanian), but I'm sure you can find it anywhere! I gave it a shot, but I would really want to taste one in a restaurant too, to make the difference. I've decorated it with forest fruits sauce, plenty of it, since we both love berries. :) Enjoy the pics and let me know if you ever did Panna Cotta!
See ya,
Love, Gab~
