everything...soft

A new hobby of my bf is (and will be for a while) the airsoft everything. I'm not gonna get in to it to much. It's just a guy thing that makes him happy. They're still kids, just with bigger guns, right? :))
I love waiting for my man at home with a steamy dinner, as well as I do love to feed the dear ones in my life.
So, while he went to meet "the boyz" this afternoon, I had a litlle bit of free time to make a quiche and his fave chicken soup. There's nothing more rewarding that the look on his face when he gets back at home starving, and he sees the meal waiting for him on the kitchen's table. :) What more can I say? :)

The George and Dragon ...or the end of the first camp

Up here it's the Kissing Line... :D :D at the end of the last night of the camp, after we all party-well, the kids do mostly- all the boys kissed the ladies good night. How sweet is that? :) Here I am with Zuzana in the dark of the party ... :D :D Another person whom I will miss! Wonderful lady!
Here is all the Langley 3 staff crew (teachers, assistans, camp directors, managers ). Lovely group pics! Nice people! Check out the next pic with us foolin' around. Definitely love that better! :D :D
After the kids left for Belgium, in the evening, all the staff members that were going to do the next camp also (Langley 4), went in another village near Langley School, to eat a proper english dinner. Here is what he had... I wanted only some appetizers, and these were the things that appeared in front of my eyes. I don't do fried stuff at all, it's definitely unlike what I usually eat, but this time was an exception. And with all those fresh vegies and a glass full of orange juice, it was a really nice meal. Of course I had dessert also...sorry, no picture for that... :)
...and these are the dips the appetizers came with...pretty nice!
...and no burgers for me...I started disliking them from the US, that was the first time I've tasted a THE american burger and I said NO in that moment. :) Plus...I don't do bread, so, just one more reason to say pass. :)
...well, is just me...or this hot desserts list looks a bit kinky...?? :D :D
...just sayin' :D
This is what Mate ate...looks delicious and he said it was.
See you soon!

camping attempt

We woke up around 11 o'clock...then the phone rang...It was my mom, asking us if we would like to join her and dad at a potato stew nature cooked ...I said "Hell, yeah!" It's just one of those things that you love and recall from your childhood memories...and you can'st say NO to these ones. So we went after Roxi (ma sis) and Doll (za dog) and off we went to have lunch. Everything was perfect. By the time we got there, mom finished cooking...so the food was waiting for us...The stew, completed with a salad...was unbelievable delicious! And I'm not exaggerating just because my mom made it...it was really good! Take a look!
Strawberries as desert :)
...and a bit of show from the notorious clowns of the family :)))
My parents were prepared to camp there over night...but in the end they changed their minds... anyways..great afternoon!
Hope you're having a great time! Love, Gab~

pizza and motocycles

Went to buy things to make a pizza...and we couldn't miss the Motocycles Expo at the mall... :) Nice babies, what do you think?  My man is crazy about motocycles, he wants to get one this year...and I have to confess I have a motocycle driving licence... and starting to fall in love with choppers. Hmmm...
About pizza...well all the respect for the ones they cook in restaurants( I used to make pizza when working in the States some years ago...), but when it comes to cooking pizza at home from scratch, well that's another story. It's totally different ...You can do the dough with whatever ingredients you like, and on top of it you can put as much goodies as you like. This one has peppers, corn, mozzarella, tomatoes, onions, chicken , green olives -don't like the black ones- , mushrums... :)) Hope you'll enjoy the pics, have a wonderful day!

Because cooking is an art too

This was what lunch looked like, before going to the oven ... :) I've decided to play with some vegetables and chicken, that turned out to be some magnificent skewers. Touched by a lil' bit of Worcester and BBQ sauce, they were ready to meet the heat. It's a simple recipe and it's fast to cook.
After 45 min spent in a tropical climate, these babes were screaming "Eat me!!"
So we did...and they were absolutely delicious!
Chocolate was just a snack before the real desert stepped in...
This is a Grape and Plum Fluffy Tart...recipe found in this lovely Desserts Book. With plenty of sugar on it and fresh cream, this tart topped the day!
Hope you had a wonderful day!

Always time for a picnic!

We are definitely one step closer to spring! Almost a week has flown away of march and the sun beams are getting stronger and stronger. The quietness and the light of this beautiful Sunday made me think that I really need to get out and spend some time surrounded by nature and the one I love. A picnic would do that just fine. It's too cold to do that yet, but at least I can prepare and nourish my appetite with this inspirational pics!
The perfect picnic basket in my opinion, sweet, elegant and spacious!
And how about these picnic baskets filled with all kind of goodies?

I love this picnic blanket!
Or, if your're not so into parks...a picnic back in your own house yard is the perfect choice when it comes to have a snack with ones you love and spend some time out in the nature. But, its has to be in style too! Check out these bench pillows! Just perfect!  Hope I made you wish for spring to come sooner and ... start thinking when your're next picnic it's going to be!
I am sooo ready for spring to come!
Have a wonderful Sunday!
Love, Gab~
