it's black...

I'll always love animals....especially the closest ones to the human beings, as cats and dogs. The balck cat in the pic, is just a friendly neighborhood visitor that we started feeding for a couple of days now. It's just sweet and it has an interesting habit with it's front paws. He's so cute! :)

:) Love, Gab~

"You musn't give your heart to a wild thing"

...at 3 am I was sipping a bit of the "Breakfast at Tiffany's"... the 1961 movie with the famous Audrey Hepburn, is one of those movies I can never get enough watching and probably it will never get old. Love Hepburn's acting! One of my fave movies!

Director: Blake Edwards

Writers: Truman Capote (novel), George Axelrod(screenplay)
Stars: Audrey Hepburn, George Peppard and Patricia Neal

"Paul Varjak: You know what's wrong with you, Miss Whoever-You-Are? You're chicken, you've got no guts. You're afraid to stick out your chin and say, "Okay, life's a fact, people do fall in love, people do belong to each other, because that's the only chance anybody's got for real happiness." You call yourself a free spirit, a wild thing, and you're terrified somebody's going to stick you in a cage. Well, baby, you're already in that cage. You built it yourself. And it's not bounded in the west by Tulip, Texas, or in the east by Somaliland. It's wherever you go. Because no matter where you run, you just end up running into yourself. "

"Doc Golightly: I love you Lula Mae.
Holly Golightly: I know you do, and that's just the trouble. It's the mistake you always made, Doc, trying to love a wild thing. You were always lugging home wild things. Once it was a hawk with a broken wing... and another time it was a full-grown wildcat with a broken leg. Remember?
Doc Golightly: Lula Mae there's something...
Holly Golightly: You musn't give your heart to a wild thing. The more you do, the stronger they get, until they're strong enough to run into the woods or fly into a tree. And then to a higher tree and then to the sky."

"O.J. Berman: Hey, Fred-baby!
Paul Varjak: No, no. It's Paul-baby."

And I loved the Cat!!!!!!!!!!

"Holly Golightly: He's all right! Aren't you, cat? Poor cat! Poor slob! Poor slob without a name! The way I see it I haven't got the right to give him one. We don't belong to each other. We just took up one day by the river. I don't want to own anything until I find a place where me and things go together. I'm not sure where that is but I know what it is like. It's like Tiffany's.
Paul Varjak: Tiffany's? You mean the jewelry store.
Holly Golightly: That's right. I'm just CRAZY about Tiffany's!"

beautiful Romania

Romania is truly a beautiful country...it's just a pity that people here don't make an effort to embellish it with modern ideas, that other countries lived with for decades now... We're waaaayyy back... and that gets on my nerves... And every time I travel outside the country, a dual sentiment overwhelms me ... it's a lot of joy and it's sadness too. I love travelling and learning new things about other cultures, but in the meanwhile I am so aware of the fact that my country is behind, beginning with the outlook of the people, ending with all the institutions that conceive Romania...
Anyway... I want to talk about good things here though... and for that matter I can (at least) proudly say that we have astonishing nature all around Romania... Here are some pics that we took as we were going back to Maramures, from the Theatre Festival in Piatra Neamt. All the theatre crew wanted to eat so we took a break on the Tihuta Pass, in the mountains...
Enjoy!
The pics below were taken at the "Ion Creanga Thematic Museum" in Humulesti, Neamt. Ion Creanga is considered the best romanian narrator (or story teller). And he really has some nice & funny stories. Plus he was born on the lands were my grandparents were born, I lived my childhood summers where he used to play... so I always felt a connection with his stories. It will ever be an absolute joy and pleasure to visit those places.
Inna and me fell in love with a splendid tomcat, who was hired to keep watch and ward over the museum...He was kind enough to allow us pet him! So we did...

Easter Day part II

In the afternoon, we've headed out to Inna's home, where she and her husband were waiting for us along with other two friends of ours. I've got to tell you that ... since 2 pm (when we got there) until 9 pm...I didn't felt the time passing by. We had a great time, eating delicious stuff that she cooked, talking about books, theatre, people...drinking several kinds of wine and not only, laughting, playing with Tomotei ( Inna's cat), taking pics...I'll leave you with the above and under testimonials, to get the whole idea :)
Oven baked lamb steak...delicious!
This is Timotei, everybody.... Yes, he is as downy bird as it looks! :)
Just love the warm weather finally came!
Hope you all guys had a blast on Easter Day too!
Best wishes, Gabriela
