rushed feelings

And I left town for 3 days to attend the "Pledez pentru tine(ri)" Theatre Festival in Piatra Neamt. So glad the weather turned better and even the sun shined a bit...more than 300 km through the country from Baia Mare to Piatra Neamt. I love this part of Romania, simply because I have a lot of relatives and here in Creanga's land I lived the my best childhood summers .

It's always good to come back and remeber how it was...I feel it passed a lot of time and so many things happened... so many have changed...

ok....back to reality...When I travel I like to wear anything that's comfy, cosy and easy to get rid of if it's too warm...and since our last festival trip to Arad, when it was really cold and rainy, all the crew dressed winter like for Piatra Neamt. The funny part is, the weather turned to be lovely for this period of the year...as far as I am concerned, if the sun is shining, I'm definitely smiling! :)TerraNova sweater, Element pants, Salomon shoes, Gina tricot sunnies

We arrived just in time to see the premiere of our colleagues that work at the Tineretului Theatre here in Piatra Neamt. Especially that the man who signed the stage directing is going to come to our theatre too next spring, fo a play work...so we all were curious to see the show. It was interesting, definitely not for to ones who come to the theatre to relax, have fun &co.... This play forced you to think, a thing that I love in any play. And it had a moment that just made me burst into tears...that's the king of theatre I like, the one which mooves something in you, and storming feelings conquer you as you leave the theatre...The moment we came back at the hotel, a new whole "theatre play" was going on...the place were we were supposed to have our dinner was full of people who were dancing on a (too loud ) party music...I thought we ran into a wedding or smthing...but no...there were just festival people who were having fun...too loud, in my opinion ... considering the fact I like to have my meal in silence or in a fine ambiance music...Luckily, all this party stopped soon after we had our first entree... this last pic was taken in the hotel dining room.

fabuleux jour

The bad weather stopped the movie crew from shootings, so I woke up with an entire afternoon FREE...God, that was new! I started some house maintainance (how I like to say), made some papa (that's "food" in romanian) and had the time to update a bit my blog. Even had time to watch a movie, well to see it for a second time... "Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain". A movie that I adore and that it's always going to be on my top movies list! If you want to learn again that life worths living it!

I tried to sleep a bit more than the rest of the past days, cause I really need to rest. Beginning with the first of september everything was a mad rush! And new stuff keeps on coming! Being sunday, it should be an energy recover day, but I slept only until 10 am, had some delicious breakfast and started to check my mail, update my blog, and still have to write some mails back. Friends, please hold on! That all before 5 pm when I have to go at the theatre cause tonight we play "The Lovers from Ancona". Hope I can sing...still not feeling to well..hmmm

food with love :)

I love to cook ...

but always for other people, not for me. I do all kind of meals, I get recipes from cook books, internet, my own experience and what I have learned from my mom, dad and other persons...I like to steal all kind of good tips ans use them...

Cooking it's also an art in my opinion. But that goes only with a lot of love! You see, that's the secret ingredient :) And with a well dressed table, the meal is perfect! When I'm on my own I just eat in order to keep myself alive. On the other hand, I love people who cook for me :)

For tonight's dinner I tried some novac fish in the oven and potato side :) It came out pretty good.

...and a banana-cinnamon-chocolate milk shake as dessert... mmmmmm, yes please!

movie shootings...

I started for a week now shooting for a movie, just helping a friend of mine. I will tell you guys more when it will come to an end, for now I just want everything to go right. And I'm also trying to hold up with the shows at the theatre (cause that's first), and they were one after other these days...I'm exhausted! Plus other things that must be done... Anyways, I have some pics before and from one of the shootings. Enjoy!

The place where we made the shootings was beautiful, but very cold...so until the lights were set, I tried to keep myself warm - the director's jacket helped :)) This last pic was taken somewhere around midnight... the shooting lasted more that I thought! But still smiling...

a bit of Arad taste

I spent my afternoon with an acting college mate who's an actress here at the theatre in Arad. We haven't seen each other for an year now, so we had a lot to talk about. I had a late lunch at this restaurant-lounge bar inside the theatre called Gaya. The weather outside sucked big time, so I couldn't sightsee. So the hours spend in this warm spot were welcomed. I ordered a tea, cinnamon flavored ( of course!), with milk. These days I felt like a flu is willing to visit me, so hot tea was my only option when it came to drink smthing... Fortunately enough this tea was amazing, haven't tried this brand before, but they've gained a fan, that's for sure!

I wanted to eat some pasta, so these cuties up here with mushrooms and chicken were fabulous! Definitely will come again!

Can't miss each time my theatre mates play this show... doesn't matter if I laugh most of the time only when I actually see all kind of mistakes... I've missed only one show since it had the premiere at the beginning of this year... I know by heart everything that happens in the show !

A show that can't be skipped, that's for sure!

the only city I love in Romania.... a bit of Cluj

After all the party guests left, we went to sleep way past midnight. Woke up early in the morning for a short trip to Cluj, had some master issues to solve...after that was done, we spent some time checking out Iulius and Polus Malls...
I always said that if I had a starbucks shop near me, I would start drinking coffee. Even if this time I had a hot tea with milk, I made sure to taste a sip from the table parteners coffee too :)

My sis saw this lake outside Iulius Mall with paddle boats...I couldn't ran away from her eager will to "ride" one of those... so I ended up having my last tea drops relaxed on the back seat of the paddle boat, watching the sunset and the wild ducks swimming while my sis and her bfriend tried to rush them out of the pond.


Not mentioning some shopping I did and my bfriend did for me :) Nice day!

birthday celebration catch up :))

So the day when I could party fo my B-day came...of course I wasn't ready with all the preparations in time, cause we had an afternoon show at the theatre...so I was late when the people started to show up. In the first pic there's Sorin in my kitchen...I'm not sure what he was doing...probably exercising some new acting method or smthing :) while I was desperate to finish all the entrees before the barbeque :)
The good thing about this reunion was probably, in the first place, the weather. It was so warm, unusual for this time of october, that we could hang out in the house yard until midnight. Perfect for having fun doing some bbque.
This is not what it seams! :)) But still...armed and dangerous!

These are the famous romanian "mici". They are a pork meat melange, spiced with different condiments. To be short, they are fabulous done on the bbque! And with beer...you just wish for more! All in all, we had a nice time together, received very nice gifts ( there're going to show up in my blog updates, that's for sure!), but the surprise of the night was the arrival of my sis and her bfriend. I knew that they couldn't come anymore, even if they promised. But they solved some problems and managed to come all the way from Brasov to Baia Mare.
Everything finished with a cheesecake (my american love), of course also made by my own two hands. The people loved it!

So we had the chance to spend some good time and enjoy a party that I desperately needed :)

Gabi and "Lucia" at the premiere...

So the big night of the premiere came... I felt anxious, part because I wanted everything to go perfect, not miss one word or action from my acting, and part because I didn't kne what to expect from the spectators... but everything went really fine, the people started to react pretty soon at the funny things that came out from the text, the costumes, the acting, the music.... This show, "The Lovers from Ancona" is meant to be a comedy filled with music, laughts and lots of fun! It should bring as many spectacors as possible...anykind... "Lucia Nicomaco"

As usual, I did my best on the stage and at the end of the play, me and my partener received the most of the applauses...then - me = happy!!

P.S. I'm waiting from the ones who saw the play some opinions!

Happy B-day to me! part I

Since we're approaching the day we'll have the premiere at the theatre, I really can not afford to loose not even one night with parties or stuff like that...not even for my birthday (?!)...

Just have to wait for next week to come, gather all my friends and have a good time, but FIRST I have to serve the Stage ... cause it will serve me too.


My Bf surprised many times today... I didn't expect him to, cause the "party" stuff was already planned for onother day with cake, gifts and all that. But, anyhow...I received gifts that acomplished me in all the ways possible... he made me feel very special, and kept me smiling almost all day long.

Before going to the theatre for rehearsals, we had lunch in town at a very nice place where we've never been to so far, then we just had time to go back home...and after that... put some clothes on and run at the theatre. I thought the surprises were over. But there was more to come...

hmmm...so that's a 24 years old look? :))

Happy B-day to me! - part II

Well...the real surpise came after we finished rehearsing. It was way over 10 pm...we were all tired....
I had a hardtime focusing on what I had to do on the stage, cause of my B-day...I started to wish for some kind of celebrating soooo bad, that I couldn't wait for next week to come, to have a proper party... Anyways, out play finishes with all the actors singing an italian song. So after we finished the song on the stage, some of my colleagues, including my Bf, started singing " Happy B-day to you, happy B-day dear Gabi....happy B-day to you!" . Mannnn, that was soo sweet! And then another colleague of mine came out with a birthday cake from behind a setting and my Bf with champagne... and then...
I burst into tears...
This was by far the greatest birthday surprise I ever experienced. And the fact that I could celebrate this unique day on the STAGE, as an actor, it's really a special thing, it caresses my heart!

This was the heart cake we all shared in plastic plates and spoons, a stage life :))...and had champagne ( in the same plastic glasses), we all had a good time together with smiles , hugs and happy birtday wishes. I was happy! All these surprises made me real happy! I think I fell asleep smiling, back at home! "Family pic!"
