Florean Museum - Tribute to Romanian Art

Tribute to ART in the first place...
...it's just a shame that romanians don't value these sculptures as other nations would... I loved them and had no ideea we have such a beautiful museum not far out Baia Mare.
A must see if you're around Maramures land! :) Enjoy the pics!

Sunday visit

Yesterday we had a blast... I almost forgot how good nature does to me! So we went out again, out of the city to get some fresh air. Inna and Radu lead us to the Florean Museum, a sculpture museum by many romanian artists from this part of the country. The fresh green forest filled my body with energy and put an instand smile on my face! Great time! Hope I'll get to do this more often this summer...enjoy nature, let it heal all my worries...and just become a part of it! Definitely my cup of tea! :)

May

free time baby

We had some hell of a months...we worked really hard...two premieres at the theatre in 2 months, lots of shows in between, plus the movie premiere. Lots of presure, stress, annoying people...and a complete lack of free time. But it's all over now. So, with Mate , Inna and Radu, we've decided we should take a bit of care of us. So, we went out of the city, like 40 km away. And, well, we met Nature again!!!!!!!!! And wasn't that sweet!!! Laughts, music on the way, took pictures, prepared some delicious meals, video recordings, volleyball, felt the cold, fresh water of the river next to us, sunbaths...all the good stuff!
That's what I call some time off!

Earth laughs in flowers

"Being perfect artists and ingenuous poets, the Chinese have piously preserved the love and holy cult of flowers; one of the very rare and most ancient traditions which has survived their decadence. And since flowers had to be distinguished from each other, they have attributed graceful analogies to them, dreamy images, pure and passionate names which perpetuate and harmonize in our minds the sensations of gentle charm and violent intoxication with which they inspire us. So it is that certain peonies, their favorite flower, are saluted by the Chinese, according to their form or color, by these delicious names, each an entire poem and an entire novel: The Young Girl Who Offers Her Breasts, or: The Water That Sleeps Beneath the Moon, or: The Sunlight in the Forest, or: The First Desire of the Reclining Virgin, or: My Gown Is No Longer All White Because in Tearing It the Son of Heaven Left a Little Rosy Stain; or, even better, this one: I Possessed My Lover in the Garden. "

~Octave Mirbeau, Torture Garden, "The Garden," Chapter 5

...can't believe I have Grape Hyacinth in the garden too :)

essence of tulips

Guarded within the old red wall's embrace,

Marshalled like soldiers in gay company,
The tulips stand arrayed. Here infantry
Wheels out into the sunlight.
