a snack in Sighisoara

On our way back to BM, we've decided to stop for a breath of fresh air in Sighisoara :) There are so many things to tell about this place...Sighisoara is probably the best preserved fortified town in Transylvania, being built by the Saxons between the 12th and the 17th centuries. It is located on the Tarnava Mare river in a picturesque setting. The citadel, a beautifully preserved medieval complex, dominates the town with its hilltop setting. The old town enclosed within the citadel walls has narrow cobblestone streets and brightly painted 16th century Saxon houses. There are nine surviving towers; the most beautiful is the striking Clock Tower, the main gate into the citadel. (source) . We were all of us hungry so we stopped at "Casa cu Cerb" (pension /restaurant) to eat smth. Casa cu Cerb is situated in the medieval fortress of Sighisoara. Monument is categorized. The name is due to exterior wall painting, representing a deer in size, and head trophy mounted on the wall. Cerb house is one of the oldest buildings in the Castle and the most interesting in terms of architecture. During the time he suffered numerous and profound changes, from the rudimentary wooden house (XIII th) to form complex in the final section. XVII and preserved until today.
In all this time, the Casa cu Cerb destination of payments. It was inhabited by people with high-function administrative or judicial clerical / religious. Between 1997-2001, "Casa cu Cerb" was restored and fully competent in care Messerschmitt Foundation in Munich.
 Here is their site.

And after finishing our deserts ( in my case a delicious hot brownie with fruit ice cream), we've returned happy and satisfied to the car, leaving the beautiful monuments of Sighisoara behind...

See ya in BM...and stay tuned...a trip to Turkey is about to happen!
Love, Gab~
